We are now entering the third year of the Pet Friendly Housing Pilot, and have developed a toolkit to assist Scottish social landlords to welcome and support pet owners into their homes. You can access the toolkit here.
We would be thrilled to work through the toolkit with you and accredit you as a pet friendly landlord. If you already welcome pets into your homes, great! Becoming accredited is recognition of the work you are already doing in this area, and can also tighten up the processes around pet ownership to ensure pets, tenants and neighbours are kept happy.
Don't paws! Get in touch today and work with us to ensure pets and their owners can access social housing, together. Please contact: pfhpilot@dogstrust.org.uk or fill in the form below.
We would be happy to send out further information and arrange a meeting.
What are the benefits for social landlords?
We feel the benefits speak for themselves - happier people make happier tenants - but from a business point of view this translates to these potential benefits:
Are you already pet friendly?
Amazing! We’d love to hear from you. This is an exciting opportunity to work together to make social housing more pet friendly, or in some cases just more obviously pet friendly, for pet owning tenants (or potential tenants). Gaining Dogs Trust’s Accreditation will help support tenants with a robust set of policies, practices and support in place promoting responsible pet ownership.
